A MESSAGE TO PARENTS …

Everyone says it, “…Self-Discipline, Self-Control, Self-Confidence…” and so on. But the question you have to ask yourself is this, “How are you going to give that to a child?”

Here is our answer…

By fostering an environment of positive reinforcement, goal setting, respect, and hard work, we push every student to discover these benefits for themselves.  We take this responsibility very seriously and will be by your child’s side every step of the way.

We believe that the word “self” is central to the principles of discipline, control, and confidence.  The only place they can come from…is within. Self-Confidence, for example, can’t be talked into your child, it can’t be tricked into them by tying a belt around their waist. It has to be, and will be, found by your child from within.

At Sweepscience, we are experts in helping kids discover their best qualities. We achieve this through superior martial arts instruction, personal attention and individualized achievement within a fun, yet highly structured and disciplined environment.

WHY JIU JITSU AS A MARTIAL ART?

Children naturally wrestle and rough house with a sibling or parent. BJJ is the perfect outlet so that they may learn and build character while doing what they love doing. We offer three structured programs depending on age which all provide a different experience - from our level one and two classes to Regina’s only advanced kids program. We take pride in witnessing our kids excel in Jiu Jitsu but we understand that a martial arts program needs to offer much more. One of the strongest points of our program is building discipline, respect, concentration, a strong work ethic and compassion.

What makes US different?

CLASS SIZE

We limit our class size and our program is structured so your child is engaged.
Not waiting to participate.

WORLD CLASS PROGRAM

We have traveled the world to research and develop our kids program.
Our teaching methods are the same as the best programs in the world.

NO EXTRA FEES

No hidden fees, registration fees, ‘belt testing’ fees, fundraising, or pressure to buy anything.

REGINA’S ONLY ADVANCED KIDS PROGRAM

Our advanced kids program is producing some of tomorrow’s best grapplers in Saskatchewan.

REAL, PRACTICAL SELF DEFENSE

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is as real as it gets. We provide cutting edge instruction and coaching to allow a smaller child to defend his/herself against a larger opponent. Kids learn modern techniques and apply them in sparring or games every class.

NO HEAD TRAUMA

BJJ is a technical grappling martial art with no striking involved. We reinforce habits so children are conscious of avoiding any and all head trauma whether it is in the gym or should they have conflict in the real world.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Our mission is to help instill the tools children need to be strong, confident and respectful. We work along side our kids to build strong work ethic, the ability to work as a team and independently, concentration, focus, and most importantly - compassion.

DISCIPLINE

Kids experience the rewards that come through discipline by applying themselves, listening and paying attention. We build our student’s emotional discipline such as staying calm during conflict, real-time problem solving, and not having to hurt another child to defend his/herself. Each child has different needs and will require a different approach to developing; we are well aware and create plans to help each individual student.
